Needed again, please.

We are once again in need of egg cartons (for 12 eggs) and clean reusable grocery bags. They can be dropped off at the Foodbank on Thursday or Friday mornings between 8:30 and 11:30 or at the Stewiacke Library during open hours.

Reminder: School supply requests must be in by August 7 and pick up is Tuesday, August 18 from 9-11

Needed! We once again need clean reusable grocery bags. If you have them spilling out of your closets and cupboards, please consider donating them to the Shumilacke Foodbank. They can be dropped off at the food bank Thursday and Friday mornings from 8:30-11:30. (Please don’t leave outside if rain is expected.) They can also be dropped off at the Stewiacke Library during their open hours.

Update: Construction will start tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7, 2026

Construction coming! Starting June 2, construction will begin on a fenced, drive-in, transfer area at the back of the courthouse. The first step will be paving a new roadway around what will be the new transfer site. It may result in only one lane of traffic.
Until the construction is complete and the new through-way is accessed, we kindly ask that you avoid waiting in the laneway prior to 12:45PM for Friday afternoon pick up.
