The Town of Sidney has just recently learned that due to a vessel shortage, Washington State Ferries does not expect to be able to resume ferry service between Sidney and Anacortes until 2030. At this time, Council and Town staff are considering the existing ferry terminal lease and the implications associated with this recent announcement. This is it! One more sleep until voting day and the Sidney election results we all so desperately want to know. If you haven't yet voted in the advanced polls, please head to Mary Winspear tomorrow from 8AM to 8PM to cast your ballot for whoever you think will do the best job of representing YOU the Sidney citizen. And I will shamelessly ask for your vote as I will indeed represent you at the Council table. Good luck to all the candidates!

What do you think of Sidney's Active transportation plan? Is it enough to get people to and from Sidney, quickly and economically and in an environmentally friendly way? I'd like to see a light rail or monorail joining Victoria with the airport, Sidney and Swartz Bay. What do you think? Is there enough attention being placed on transportation by Municipal Councils? Don't forget to vote on the 15th!!
