National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day of remembrance, reflection and learning. This day recognizes the history and ongoing impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous people across Canada. It is a time to honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities whose lives continue to be shaped by this history.
Throughout the region, gatherings and events offer opportunities for reflection, learning and connection.
