A friendly reminder to residents about parking RVs and trailers on Town roads.

RVs and trailers cannot be parked on the road while unhooked at any time. If properly attached to a vehicle, they may be parked on the road for a maximum of 24 hours.

If you need to park or store your RV or trailer for longer than 24 hours, please move it off the road to an appropriate location, such as your driveway, backyard, or a storage lot. When parking on your property, please make sure it does not block the sidewalk.

We kindly ask residents to keep these parking requirements in mind, as parking an RV or trailer outside of these requirements is against the Town’s Community Standards Bylaw.

Let’s all help keep our roads and sidewalks clear, accessible, and safe for everyone.

Thank you for your cooperation!

What a night of mystery, plot twists, and suspicious characters!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out for Mystery Among the Mateys! We hope you had as much fun solving the mystery as we did bringing it to life!

A special shoutout to the Slave Lake Public Library for partnering with us and helping make this event happen! And of course, a big thank you to all our staff and volunteers who worked behind the scenes to bring the night together. We couldn’t have done it without you!

And to everyone who dressed up, played along, and got into character… you made this night one to remember!

Until our next adventure!

POWER OUTAGE UPDATE #3 – ATCO - 9:40pm

ATCO has advised that repairs are progressing well, and power is expected to be restored to all affected areas within the next two hours.

We appreciate everyone’s continued patience as crews work to complete repairs and restore service.

ELECTIONS ALBERTA – POLLING STATIONS
We have confirmed with Elections Alberta that polling stations affected by the power outage will not reopen this evening.

We want to clarify that this decision was made by Elections Alberta, not the Town of Slave Lake. The Town does not have authority over the operation of these polling stations or decisions regarding their closure.

We recognize the frustration this may cause for residents who were unable to cast their ballots and encourage anyone with questions or concerns regarding the voting process to contact Elections Alberta directly.

Unless something major changes, no further updates are expected.
