Clean Air Now - CAN - Bulkley Valley We advocate for clean air in the Bulkley Valley Members are currently focussed on slash burning, wood stove emissions and industrial emissions.

CLEAN AIR NOW is a network of concerned citizens committed to improving air quality in the Bulkley Valley through communication, collaboration, and action. If you are interested in helping to solve these problems, Please feel free to contact us. Approaches to the above problems are as follows:
Members want to protect our air from pollution caused by
1.Slash burning - having the Provincial Governm

ent pursue means of reducing or totally eliminating slash burning.
2. Wood Stoves. - There are several ways to reduce/eliminate smoke from wood stoves, but our first strategy will be a public education program.
3. Industrial emissions. The local panelboard and paving plants are frequently in violation of their Waste Management Permits but virtually nothing is being done to require compliance. It is our hope that we can convince the Government to reduce the pollution from such sources.
