🌈 On Saturday, June 6th, the Lanark County Paramedic Service was proud to participate in the annual Pride Parade in Perth in support of inclusion, diversity, and community.

Despite forecasted rain showers, the event saw an incredible turnout, with a sea of rainbow-clad supporters lining the streets in celebration and solidarity. The energy and spirit of the community served as a powerful reminder of the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued.

Lanark County Paramedic Service is honoured to stand alongside our community in celebrating Pride and supporting an environment of inclusivity for all. Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who attended to make this year’s event such a success. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Lanark County Paramedic Service (LCPS) was honoured to be invited to the Clayton Community Centre to celebrate the installation of a new outdoor SaveStation AED cabinet.

Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, at any time, and bystanders play a critical role in the chain of survival. Early recognition, calling 911, starting CPR, and using an AED can dramatically improve a person’s chance of survival.

This new outdoor SaveStation helps make that possible by providing 24/7 public access to a lifesaving AED for the Clayton community. The cabinet is temperature-controlled, monitored with a security camera, and designed to ensure the AED remains accessible year-round when every second counts.

As part of the event, LCPS provided hands-on CPR and AED demonstrations for attendees, with additional formal education sessions currently being coordinated for the community.

Thank you to everyone involved in helping make Clayton a more heart-safe community.

On May 21st, community partners from across Lanark County gathered to officially launch the Lanark Integrated Frontline Team (LIFT) — a new mobile outreach initiative bringing healthcare, housing support, substance use services, and social supports directly to people where they are.

LIFT helps bridge gaps in care by connecting individuals to a nurse practitioner, social worker, and paramedic in community settings, including encampments, supportive housing, and other high-risk environments.

Although newly launched, the team has already completed 439 outreach visits, serving nearly 100 individuals since December 2025, helping connect vulnerable community members to healthcare, harm reduction supports, housing resources, and additional services.

Thank you to all who attended the event and helped us celebrate this community partnership between Lanark County Mental Health, Lanark County Paramedic Service, Lanark County, and the South East Public Health Unit.
