Reading Buddy
🕒 Monday at 4:30pm
🗺️ Smithville Branch
ℹ️ Be a Buddy! Teens ages 13-17 can earn volunteer hours by becoming a reading buddy, helping children aged 5-11 improve their reading skills using books and literacy based games. Children of all reading levels welcome.

Adult Book Club
🕒 Monday at 6:30pm
🗺️ Smithville Branch
ℹ️ Happy Land. Copies are available at the Smithville branch one month prior to the book club meeting. Book club titles may also be available to download in e-book and audiobook format through Libby (Overdrive). Registration is required.

Afterschool Arts & Crafts
🕒 Tuesday at 4:15pm
🗺️ Smithville Branch
ℹ️ Explore the world of art and crafting while meeting new friends in this social afterschool arts and crafts program. Recommended for children ages 6 to 10. Registration is required.

Knitting Circle
🕒 Wednesday at 1:30pm
🗺️ Smithville Branch
ℹ️ Calling beginner, intermediate and skilled knitters and crocheters to join our weekly in-person social knitting circle. Recommended for adults and seniors. Registration is required.

Tech Thursdays
🕒 Thursday at 10:00am
🗺️ Smithville Branch
ℹ️ Patrons have the chance to book a half hour time slot between the hours of 10-12 for a one-on-one session with a librarian. Get help with devices, social media or general tech help. By appointment only.

Music and Movement Storytime
🕒 Thursday at 10:30am
🗺️ Smithville Branch
ℹ️ A 6-week story time program for toddlers that incorporates movement games alongside early literacy to help develop better physical awareness, improve gross and fine motor skills and learn how to navigate social movement relationships. Recommended for children ages 3 to 5. Drop-in.

D&D in the Library
🕒 Friday at 3:30pm
🗺️ Smithville Branch
ℹ️ Calling all Paladins, Warlocks, Druids and Barbarians! Come to the library Friday afternoons and begin your fantasy adventure. All materials provided. Recommended for ages 13-18. Registration is required.

Chess Club
🕒 Friday at 4:30pm
🗺️ Smithville Branch
ℹ️ An inter-generational chess club for all ages and stages. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player you’ll have fun learning tips and tricks to improve your strategy. Drop-in.
