The Sky Watching Domes look just as good by daylight as they do under a night sky.

Each dome comes with a king bed, a transparent ceiling, and all the comforts of home: heated floors, a kitchenette, a private bathroom, and running water. Choose a single dome for two or a family dome that sleeps up to nine, set near Smoky Lake with near-zero light pollution for proper stargazing. Northern lights can't be guaranteed, but conditions here are about as good as it gets when the aurora is active.

Over 7,500 Métis Veterans have served, and their stories are part of who we are today.

On November 8, 2026, Métis Crossing stands alongside the Otipemisiwak Métis Government to recognize Indigenous Veterans’ Day. This year, we honour that service with an update to the monument that bears their names, a quiet but lasting way of saying: we remember you, and we are grateful.

What does Tai Amy Grauman hope audiences carry out of the theatre? "I hope that they walk away thinking about the women that they come from."

She's also reflecting on how far the stage has come. Her work has played the National Arts Centre and, most recently, the Arts Club.

"Growing up, I never saw people who looked or sounded like me, or had stories like me, on stages. It is really special to see how things have changed, and there's such an interest in our stories now."

Métis Crossing is near and dear to Tai Amy Grauman's heart. She's brought several shows here already, and toured to Métis communities many times, but this one feels different.

"My work feels strongest when it's with the people. By going to Métis Crossing, and literally going to the bison, we are with the people, which is where I want my work to exist," she says. "This happening is really a dream come true."

"We often think about theatre as something outside of ourselves, but this show isn't. It's very present in our everyday lives as Métis people in Alberta."
