📢 Community Reminder – Garbage Collection
Due to ongoing repairs to our garbage truck, our crew will be hand-loading bins until further notice. To keep this process safe and efficient, we're asking all residents to please ensure:

🗑️ All garbage is bagged before being placed in the bins as per Bylaw 976/19.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding while our crew works safely under these temporary conditions.

A reminder to all residents of Snow Lake that ALL ATTRACTANTS (including garbage) need to be stored in a secure method in order to prevent bears from accessing. GARBAGE cannot be stored or put outside until the morning of garbage day.

After your garbage is collected, please take your can away from the road and store it properly.

By improperly storing attractants, you are creating unsafe conditions for the rest of the community.

The provincial Office of Drinking Water has implemented lead testing requirements for the Snow Lake public water system. This requires the Town to perform annual testing for lead as required by the Office of Drinking Water.
This year the Town will be accepting voluntary requests to have the water in your home tested for lead. We are looking for twenty volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to have your water tested, please e-mail [email protected]. Please include your name, phone number, and address.

Please be advised that public works will be burning the landfill today (July 9). The landfill will still be open during regular hours, however there will be no access to the burn pile until the burn is complete.
