Sointula Waterworks District We were established as an Improvement District under the BC Local Government Act in 1965.

Sointula Waterworks District provides drinking water to the village of Sointula, Malcolm Island, BC.

The waterworks office is open today until 3pm to accept payments for the water tolls. If you are phoning and I haven't answered, it is because I am already dealing with a customer in the office. It has been a steady stream of people since 9am, so if you call please leave a message or drop in to the office and ask in person.

UPDATE: All done. No need to shut-off the water after all.

We are currently (11:20am, Thursday 14 May) repairing a curb stop to a customers property on 2nd St. We may need to shut off the water briefly to install the new unit.
