After obtaining final sign-off by the Engineer of Record in May and a program of flushing, disinfection and testing, we have received final approval from Island Health for the use of the new water main that runs from 2nd St, up 11th Ave to 3rd St, then back down12th Ave to 2nd St. The water water will be officially turned on this morning and customers are now able to connect their water lines to the new water main. Please co-ordinate with John Brunet for the switchover. Final statements and letters explaining the process will be sent out in the next week.

The results of our regular water testing conducted on Monday were all free of any bacteriological contamination.

A reminder that the office will be closed Tuesday 16th June, but open Wednesday 17th June from 9:00am to 2:00pm instead.

The waterworks office is open today until 3pm to accept payments for the water tolls. If you are phoning and I haven't answered, it is because I am already dealing with a customer in the office. It has been a steady stream of people since 9am, so if you call please leave a message or drop in to the office and ask in person.
