Have you cleaned your chimney yet ???

Keep Your Chimney Fireplaces and Wood Stoves Clean

Have your chimney, fireplace, wood or pellet stove inspected and cleaned by a licensed chimney specialist. They should be maintained annually to help ensure they are functioning safely and efficiently.
Be sure to keep the area around the hearth clear of debris, decorations and any other combustible materials.
If you have a wood burning, insert or pellet stove, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for additional guidance related to operation and venting.

All Open Fire (Category 1, 2 & 3) restrictions are rescinded as of Friday, October 2nd at noon.

Please remember, anyone lighting a Category 3 fire must first obtain a burn registration number by calling 1-888-797-1717.

The Eagle Bay Fire Department was fortunate enough to receive a fire skid from GlobalMedic which includes a 1,000L water tank, a pump and some forestry hose. We wish to thank Global Medic for their generous donation.

Tuesday September 15th from 6:30 pm until approximately 9:00 pm EBFD , with the assistance of WLFD and Shuswap FD will be completing our yearly Superior Tank Shuttle Service accreditation.

During the testing water tenders will be driving along Eagle Bay Road to drop water at the test site. Apparatus will be running lights but no sirens. The test site is at approximately 2900 Eagle Bay Road by the post boxes.
Tenders will be filling with water from 2 different hydrants. One in Eagle bay Estates and the other hydrant at the corner of Blind Bay Road/Eagle Bay Road by Lagos Pizza.
For the safety of both our firefighters and the public we will have traffic flaggers at the test site.
