Eagle Bay Fire Department responded to two incidents tonight. One near the Mercantile and one down Rea Road. Both were for power lines down due to the wind storm, one of which had started a small fire. The fire has been extinguished and BC Hydro has been notified.

Firefighters from Shuswap, Eagle Bay, and White Lake fire departments responded to a fire on Eagle Bay Rd late this afternoon. This was small wildland fire about 500 ft up the mountain.

Fire departments and neighbours responded quickly and have the fire under control. BC wildfire service had a helicopter on the fire quickly but bucketing operations were not required.

Eagle Bay Fire Department attended a vehicle fire the evening of August 4th. The vehicle was successfully extinguished with no extension into the surrounding area. Thank you to everyone for pulling over to let the fire trucks pass while we're in transit.
