Are you Bear Aware when camping? 🐻🏕️

That means being mindful of what you leave out on your campsite and storing bear attractants safely. As we are in bear country, our Discovery Bear Aware program is a great opportunity to learn about black bears and how to avoid human wildlife conflict!

Our mock campsite demonstrates what NOT to do while camping, and our checklist on the last slide can be used as a handy tool to make sure your campsite is bear safe! 💗⛺️

What happens when a campfire gets angry?

Things get heated! 🔥

All jokes aside, don’t let your campfire get out of hand. Keep a bucket of water nearby and never leave your fire unattended.

This past week, painted turtle hatchlings arrived home at Sauble Falls! 🐢💗

Working with the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre, park staff released the turtles in the river which they originated from.

We are so thankful for all the work OTCC does to protect Ontario's turtles!

Sauble Falls is the best because of the beautiful waterfalls! 🌊

Tips for visiting the falls:
🅿️ Reserve a spot at the Falls Viewing Area for 2 and 4 hour parking

🪨 Be careful of slippery rocks - we recommend water shoes if you are going in the water

🐟 Visit in the fall or spring to observe spawning runs for Rainbow Trout and Chinook salmon

We would love to hear what you love about Sauble Falls in the comments!
