The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville will close County Road 21 between Cleary Road and Hurley Road from 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1 to replace a cross culvert.

County Road 21 will be open to local traffic only, with no through traffic permitted. A detour will be in place via Cleary Road, Goodin Road and Hurley Road.

The road is expected to reopen before school bus operations resume on Wednesday, September 2.

Please plan ahead and allow extra time when travelling in the area.

New trees are taking root in Edwardsburgh Cardinal!

In partnership with South Nation Conservation (SNC), larger-caliper trees have recently been planted near the pickleball and tennis courts in Cardinal, with additional trees planted along the waterfront to replace diseased trees removed earlier this year. The new plantings include bur oak, catalpa, hackberry and red maple trees.

The planting is part of a three-year partnership with SNC to replant trees throughout Edwardsburgh Cardinal and support healthy green spaces in our community.

All five members of Edwardsburgh Cardinal Municipal Council have been acclaimed for the 2026–2030 term.

Mayor Tory Deschamps, Deputy Mayor Stephen Dillabough and Councillors Joe Martelle, Waddy Smail and Chris Ward will all continue in their respective roles for the next term.

While there will be no vote for Municipal Council, the 2026 election will still include applicable School Board Trustee elections. Eligible electors will cast ballots for English Public or French Public School Board Trustee, as applicable.

Student Arena Attendants | $16.60 to $17.60 per hour
Help keep our recreation facilities clean, safe and ready for the community. Duties include facility cleaning, room set-up, assisting with ice flooding and patrolling public skating.

Student Canteen Workers | $16.60 to $17.60 per hour
Gain customer service and food service experience while working in our recreation facilities. Duties include preparing and serving food, operating the cash register and keeping the canteen clean. Food Handler Certification is required.

Your final bill reflects the approved 2026 tax rates, including any changes resulting from the 2026 municipal budget.

If you're enrolled in the Township's pre-authorized monthly payment plan, your scheduled payments will be adjusted to reflect your final 2026 tax amount.

If you would like to enroll in the monthly payment plan for your 2026 final tax bill, the deadline to apply is August 28, 2026. Visit our website for the enrollment form and required information.
