Just a little introductory post.
Our names are Ariel Fredrickson and Stefan Bachmann and we’ve just bought the meat shop just outside pouce coupe formerly known as Richards meats.
I (Ariel) have been an employee of Richards for the last 7 years so I’ll know a lot of your faces already. We’re continuing the business as it was before, cutting wild game and domestic animals and making almost any kind of sausage you can name!

Those look like the ones I cooked over the fire pit for a date night last week. One of the best compliments I’ve received is wifey telling me that it was way better than anything the keg would serve up!

THE REAL RED MEAT!

It’s a question we get asked a lot. “Why is your beef so dark?!” Well, it’s how it’s supposed to look, but the average consumer is used to seeing the pale, over fed beef in the grocery store.

But what MAKES our darker in colour? It’s due to the higher concentration of beta-cerotene that comes from grassfed & finished beef, along with higher amounts of vital minerals and vitamins. Cattle that are fed a solely forage based diet have a more ‘concentrated’ meat! Meaning more ‘bang for your buck’ as far as nutrition density goes!

It’s a sad truth. Good, natural food with minimal ingredients can be more costly than ultra processed, low nutrient food. But is it really worth the few bucks saved? Our health as a society has been steadily deteriorating since the introduction of processed food. If you can’t pronounce it, you shouldn’t be eating it!
