On June 16, the 5th Annual Tri-Region Mayors' Golf Classic took place at the The Links at Spruce Grove. ⛳

The City of Spruce Grove together with the Town of Stony Plain and Parkland County have raised $22,500 towards WestView Health Centre Foundation’s CT Scanner! ⭐

Demand for emergency services is only increasing and a CT Scanner will offer faster, local access to life-saving imaging. ❤️‍🩹

We could not have done this without the help and support of all of our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who has participated in fundraising towards this important cause. 👏

On June 5, a partnership between Cantiro Homes, Parkland School Division, and Build Alberta Apprenticeships Foundation celebrated the Grade 10 students that completed the Building Futures program by building two homes at Garneau Gate in Spruce Grove! This one-year program gives students credits towards their diploma while working as part of a team to build a house from the ground up. 🏠 🔨

This program takes students beyond the traditional classroom, providing them with learning opportunities that come with building a house, while they cover the Alberta Education curricula required for high school graduation. A Spruce Grove garage gets transformed into an onsite classroom, where students learn academic courses from teachers, and then collaborate with the construction team at every stage of building the house. 📖 ✏️

Join the City of Spruce Grove for a public open house on June 11 at the theatre in Heavy Metal Place to provide feedback on proposed adjustments to the Land Use Bylaw. 📝

The proposed adjustments will introduce a new residential district for apartment buildings and provide clarity on future developments in existing residential districts.

Construction is progressing on Parkland School Division's new Spruce Grove Composite High School Replacement! 🍎✏️

Currently, concrete foundations are complete, structural steel installation is in progress, mechanical and electrical underground and block wall rough-ins are in progress, and structural masonry block wall installation is also in progress.

It is anticipated that the new school will open for students early 2028, with Phase 2 work proceeding after. 🏫🚌
