Thank you to our dedicated Firefighters who spent their Tuesday evening training to serve you better.

Our volunteer firefighters aren’t just neighbours helping out—they are highly trained professionals who meet the exact same NFPA standards as full-time crews. They don’t just show up when it’s convenient; they:

• leave family dinners at a moment's notice

• jump out of bed for 3:00 AM calls

• step away from their "day jobs" the second the pager sounds

These individuals are the backbone of our fire services, protecting over 80% of Ontario’s geography. 🌲🚜

This , we’re looking past the gear at the people behind it. To the firefighters balancing careers, families, and the sudden ring of a pager: We see the dedication it takes to serve your community at 3:00 AM and still be at your desk by 9:00 AM.

Thank you for the commitment it takes to balance both roles. 👨‍🚒

🔥 Safety Message from the St. Charles Fire Department 🔥

A working smoke alarm saves lives. It gives you vital seconds to escape during a fire, and those seconds matter. There is no excuse for not having them installed and maintained in your home. Having present and working smoke alarms is the game changer.

🏠 Homeowners: Please check your smoke alarms today. Replace batteries, test the units, and make sure alarms are installed on every level of your home, including outside sleeping areas.
🏘️ Landlords: The law is clear — you are responsible for ensuring your rental properties have working smoke alarms. Failure to comply puts your tenants at risk and will not be tolerated.

🚨 The St. Charles Fire Department has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to missing or non-operational smoke alarms. Non-compliance will result in fines under the Provincial Offences Act.

❤️ If there is a genuine need or financial hardship, please reach out. We will work with you to ensure your home is equipped with functioning smoke alarms — no questions asked. Your safety is our priority.

Let’s work together to keep every family in St. Charles safe.

Check your smoke alarms today. 🔔
