A SPECIAL THANK YOU!

We're excited to share some great news!

The Association for New Canadians has received a $16,000 grant from Atlantic Canada Community Board.
This generous funding will support our Newcomer Digital Skills Lab, a program designed to help newcomer youth (ages 16-29) build essential technology and digital skills to succeed in their new home.

For many young newcomers, digital literacy is a key stepping stone to independence, education, and meaningful employment. Through this program, participants will gain the foundational tech skills they need to explore new opportunities and thrive.
We sincerely thank for their commitment to supporting newcomer youth in our community. Together, we are helping create a more inclusive and connected Newfoundland and Labrador.

Our Employer Engagement team attended the Energy NL Conference & Exhibition 2026 alongside participants from our Professional Mentorship Program. It was a great opportunity to gain valuable insights into the energy sector and to connect with industry leaders.

We had excellent discussions with industry leaders around how newcomer workforce can support the growth and future of the energy sector in our province.
