NL Correctional Officers, Classification Officers and Manager of Program and Services, took part in the LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN for Special Olympics today. Along with representatives from other law enforcement agencies, they ran 13kms from Paradise through Mount Pearl and then to Subaru in St John's, all in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics.

Staff of the Clarenville Correctional Centre participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run today along with other Law Enforcement agencies as well as the athletes, families and friends from Special Olympics NL Clarenville Allstars. ❤️

An idea to create a personalized library for West Coast Correctional Centre’s own Sister Rona (Pastoral Care) recently came to fruition through the hard work and dedication of both staff and offenders.

For the past 25 years, Sister Rona has played an integral role in supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders as they prepare to return to our communities. Her compassion, guidance, and unwavering commitment have positively impacted countless individuals over the years.

Sister Rona is highly respected by both staff and offenders alike, and her contributions do not go unnoticed. This library is a small token of appreciation for her years of dedicated service and the difference she continues to make every day.

Thank you, Sister Rona, for 25 years of outstanding service, support, and care.

Last week the Stephenville Zion Pentecostal Woman’s Ministry Team met with WCCC Classification Officer, Shellie Reid for lunch as they wanted to thank the West Coast Correctional Center staff for the good things that we do in the community. Attached is a thank you card and a Tim Hortons gift card for coffee and donuts for staff.

West Coast Correctional Center (WCCC) staff and offenders recently built flower boxes for the Cancer Care Garden Of Hope in Stephenville, NL. A special thank you to Shea's Building Supplies and Abbott's Home Building Center for generously donating the materials for this special cause. At WCCC, we thrive on collaboration—partnering with our community to make a lasting impact.
