IMPORTANT UPDATE!

Please be advised that the 911 emergency system has been successfully restored.

​According to Bell MTS, service was restored following repairs to a fibre cable cut earlier today. Both wireless and landline emergency call services are back up and fully operational across the region.

​If you have an emergency, please resume calling 911 as normal.

​Thank you to everyone in our community for your patience and for helping spread the word!

The St. Laurent Fire Department is proud to promote the Smoke Alarm For Every (S.A.F.E.) Family program!

Working smoke alarms save lives, and we want to ensure every household in our community is protected.

​Regularly testing and replacing old smoke alarms is one of the easiest ways to keep your family safe. If your home needs working smoke alarms, this program is here to help.

Who qualifies:
Eligible homes include those with at-risk residents, including older adults, newcomers to Manitoba, young children, people with disabilities and low-income families.
Only owner-occupied homes qualify for the S.A.F.E. Family program, since landlords are responsible for installing and maintaining smoke alarms in their rental units.

How to apply:
Applications are available right now! You can pick one up in person at the RM Office during regular business hours.
​Don't wait until it's too late stop by the RM office, grab your application, and let's keep St. Laurent safe together!

Environment Canada has forecasted high winds with gusts reaching up to 70 km/h, which can be favorable for fire spread.
