It's Fire Fighter Friday! SMFD is pleased to announce that Mark Manzano has completed his probationary period with St. Marys Fire. Mark is also the newest member of our water and Ice rescue team and one of our members that are taking the Ontario Fire college course right here in St. Marys next month. Mark has a passion for serving the town of St. Marys and is a great Fire Fighter. Keep up the great work #15!

Camping and cottage nights are for relaxing, not reacting.

With peak season in full swing, campfires and BBQs are everywhere. But one unattended flame can spread fast in dry conditions.
Don’t leave it till it’s out:
✔ pour water on it
✔ stir it up to ensure no hidden embers
✔ make sure it’s completely cool

Because the only thing that should be spreading this summer is good vibes.

This week we feature Captain Greg St. Clair. Captain St. Clair has recently been recognized for serving for five years with the St. Marys Fire department. Greg has almost 17 years in the Fire service, having previously served on the Baden Fire Department in the township of Wilmont, and is currently a member of the Cambridge Fire department. Captain St. Clair is very passionate about the fire service and takes the lead in many specialized training evolutions. Thanks for your five years of service Greg with the town of St. Marys.
