Hey folks, as we appear to flow back into a more liberal minded take on substances to use/abuse in society, it seems a decent enough idea to take a look at where we've been before. Previous to the Harrison Narcotics Act in the states in 1914, questionable substances were promoted for all sorts of things. Co***ne in the Coke. He**in to help the kids sleep. O***m for more reasons than the cool kids in Mötley Crüe jackets down the street were doing it (I'm sure it wasn't o***m).

This answer may be easy, but it's worrisomely interesting to consider where we've been. Now you vote, Yea or Nay today????

P.S. As far as I can tell this is a legit ad from 1885. If you're not buying it, feel free to search for many closely related results. Try a Google image search for "bayer he**in ad"

I suppose I have a bit of a bias to awesome toy guns. I remember being mesmerized with the VERY realistic life-size u*i water guns which made a LONG trip to Edmonton extra-special as a kid. May have been my first time in a Toys 'R' Us? I'm not positive. You even filled up the clips with water and slid them in like they did on the A-Team. No more realistic guns off-the-shelf for kids. What do you think? Yea / Nay today? Like for Yea, angry for nay.

Hey folks, time for our first post! Let's start with something easy. The rules of "Yea/Nay Today?" are simple. If you think the posted topic is acceptable today, hit like! If not, Change that like to an Angry face. And let's see who wins! Today's post is this great old Charles Atlas ad. Any nerds out there reading comics relate? I've never had anyone nonchalantly kick sand in my face at the beach, humiliating me in front of the gal. But if I did, perhaps I would go on a revenge fuelled workout regiment and bop that busta what he is owed! Given that maybe this was slightly (maybe?) tongue and cheek back in the 80s ( I took it as straight up serious), do you think this ad is fine if used in a modern context today? Or belongs in the stone-age? Yea, or Nay? Like, or Angry?
