CALLING ALL MUSICIANS! A new Open Mic stage has been added in our area! This Saturday, June 27th from 7:30-10:30pm, come to the Stayner Legion and show us your talent! Open to everyone, completely free. Hosted by Mike O'Callaghan (), he will have lots of gear on hand for you to perform. If you're picky, then bring whatever you'd like. Questions? A huge thank you to the Antique and Classic Car Club of Canada, Nottawasaga Region, for showing up tonight with your beautiful vehicles for us to enjoy.

Branch 457 was proud to be your hosts and we appreciated your support. I wanted to personally thank all my lovelies in the kitchen, for making my life easy and doing all the dishes. I love you Sherry Holland, Sue Nixon, Cheryl Ferguson, Dave Gillis, guest Chef Marc Boem. Bended knee thank you to Evonne Campbell for two salads, members helping members. Our barista, Sherry Young donated two beautiful homemade salads, so sweet.

Outside volunteers Rick Zahorchak, John Ferguson and Michael O’Callaghan. You know invariably when you reach out and thank people that went above and beyond the fold and helped you out immensely, you always forget somebody. So if I missed you, I’m sorry, but it doesn’t mean that I didn’t appreciate everything you did today because. I wasn’t able to be at all points at all times, it was pretty busy in the kitchen.

Well Stayner, 'Music Market and Park It' may have been cancelled tonight due to the weather, but THE LEGION IS OPEN! We have a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we have pool tables, we have a fantastic patio, and we have a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks! Including...yes, $5 tallboys! Open now until 9pm. If it is busy, we will even stay open later. Open to everyone...no membership needed. See you there!

A big thank you to these Legion volunteers that gave up a few hours of their Sunday morning in the rain, to place flags on veterans graves who proudly served our country. This is to show our respect to those that served for the Stayner Union Cemetery’s Annual Decoration Day Service, which will commence this afternoon at 2:30 PM. Absent from the photograph was Comrade Ken Parton, who provided inspiration for us playing the pipes while we searched out these gravesites.

Man, these boys brought it today amazing band not only some blues, but some classic rock songs as well so talented and really nice guys if you get a chance, try to see Isaiah and The Blues Machine they’re really worth it. Wish we could’ve had a bigger crowd for them.
