Piper Ken Parton plays a Scottish lament between the benediction and the final Legion prayer that I said as the officiant of our good comrade Johnny’s celebration of life today. It was a very emotional day we laughed. We smiled and a tear or two and I think that’s the way he’d like it. We invite you to come and celebrate the life of John Blakely this Sunday May 31st from 1-4pm. John was a member of the Legion for 51 years and will be remembered for many more years to come. Raise a glass and share memories of our dear comrade.
