Good evening Cadets and parents of 307 Steinbach Air Cadets - RCACS. As the province is looking at relevant Covid data so is the Regional Cadet Support Unit. At this due to the high case numbers in the southeast, we have been ordered to stand down from in person training until further notice. We will be implementing virtual for the time being as well we have been given permission to conduct training outdoors ( what that would look like coming into fall in unknown at this time ). As we have more information regarding our parade orders we will let you know.

So currently for Oct 7 2021 we will be virtual, more information will be sent out shortly.

Lets keep strong, keep going and we will be back in person before we know it.

Stay Safe

Cheers

Okay 307 here's how this year is gonna start.

This Thursday September 9 2021, we will have the level 4 ( level 3 last year ), level 5 ( including level 4 last year ) and seniors attending starting at 1830 hrs. This will give us time to get paperwork done, uniforms dealt with and a reintroduction into in person training.

September 16 2021 at 1830 will be level 3 ( level 2 last year ) and level 2 ( level 1 last year ) with the same program for the night.

Once we know who is coming back and we know what our strength is then we can figure out training night schedules. We will be wearing masks inside ( we have masks for you if you wish), and we will be recording everyone coming in just like the beginning of last year as well.

We will start with registration on September 23 2021 at 1900, more information to follow on that.

Can't wait to see you all again.

Good evening 307 Stoneybrook cadets and parents.

I hope you are all enjoying your summer in one way or another and have made some fantastic memories with family and friends.

We should be getting a clear direction on starting the cadet year before the end of the month as we are waiting on formation to send direction down to us. From what I have been told, we will should be able to conduct cadets in person along with following provincial guidelines regarding group sizing and PHM's. That being said for those returning cadets only I am looking at a start up of Sept 9. This will allow all returning cadets to update information, return and get sized for new gear and hopefully receive some initial information with how this year is going to start.

This is not a for sure date, but the closest we can come with the expectations I have been given. Once we have everyone who is returning settled in we will start with our registration for new cadets ( date TBD ), and then we will proceed with the cadet year in a crawl, walk, run manner. As we know we could end up completely virtual again at a moments notice, so lets continue to do our part and be safe.

More information will follow as I receive it

Cheers

Registration will probably start October 22 2020, more info to follow

We are about to get this unique year off to a great start. Tomorrow October 15 2020, at 1830 hrs (6:30 pm) we will welcome back cadets whose last name falls in between N-Z. This will allow our staff to brief everyone on what this year might look like, the new safety measures that we are implementing as well as provide updated information to out administration officer Capt Bell. Cadets will have the opportunity to meet with our supply officer Lt Voth to get resized for outgrown uniform parts and meet with our senior cadets and our training officer Lt Stemkoski.

Parents we encourage 1 parent or guardian to attend so we can transfer the important information, due to the occupancy restriction, we can only have 50 people max at one time ( cadets, staff, parents etc) so this is why we are splitting up the squadron for returning and we ask that this be respected so may have a smooth transition for the night.

*** All cadets and parents must complete the COVID-19 self assessment tool and sign in, every person shall wear a non medical mask ( appropriate graphics ) and continue to wear it while in the building or conducting cadets activities ***

For the time being we will be setting up cadets to be in attendance twice a month ( every second week) with the exact schedule to be handed out when you come in, and posted after that.

Any questions you may have can be directed here, during the welcome back night or by email to [email protected].

We hope you are all staying safe and we can't wait to welcome you all back

Sincerely

Graham White
