As we head into June, it feels like our communities have collectively taken a deep breath after several days of good soaking rain. The fields are greener, the dust has settled, and in many areas seeding is complete, or close enough that everyone is willing to smile when asked about it. That kind of rain can lift spirits, even if it also adds a little mud to the floor mats.

June is an important month in our schools. It is exciting, busy, and just a little bit tiring. There are field trips, final assignments, exams, celebrations, graduations, year-end events, and calendars that seem to require colour coding and possibly a second cup of coffee. It is also a month when students need to stay focused on the work in front of them and finish the year well.

This time of year can be tricky for children and teenagers. The sun is up early, it stays light late, and bedtime can start to feel more like a suggestion than a routine. As families, one of the best ways we can support students through June is by helping them get the rest they need. A good night’s sleep, a regular routine, some healthy food, and encouragement from home can make a real difference as students work through the final stretch.

To our students, keep going. The finish line is in sight, but there is still important learning to do. Your effort, attitude, and perseverance matter right to the end.
To our staff, thank you for guiding students through this busy season with patience, care, and the occasional well-timed reminder that “almost done” is not quite the same as “done.”

To our parents, guardians, and families, thank you for your continued support. June asks a lot of everyone, and your partnership helps our students stay grounded and ready to do their best.

Like the fields around us, this is a season of growth, effort, and promise. Summer is coming, and we are all looking forward to the chance to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Until then, let’s help our students finish strong and make the most of the weeks ahead.

Thank you for being part of the Clearview Public Schools community.

📵 SCREEN BREAK — Do Not Disturb before bed

In today’s Rogers video, Connor McDavid shares a simple habit he uses to protect his sleep: turning on “Do Not Disturb” before bed.
This can be especially helpful as we head into the last month of school and students prepare for final exams—good sleep supports focus, memory, and calmer mornings.

✅ Try it tonight:
• Set “Do Not Disturb” for bedtime hours
• Charge phones outside bedrooms (if you can)
• Swap scrolling for a wind-down routine (reading, quiet music)
Small steps can make a big difference. 💙
