WE WILL BE OPEN SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17th. The scheduled power outage has been moved to a different date and time.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Temporary Library Closure
Please be advised that the library will be closed on Saturday October 17, 2026 due to a Hydro One scheduled power outage in our area from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Because of this outage, critical building utilities—including heating/cooling, lighting, the elevator, and public washrooms—will not be in service.
For the safety and comfort of our patrons and staff, we have decided to close for the duration of the maintenance window.

Free Goods Exchange Day is a community initiative where people give away items they no longer need and pick up things they can use — all for free.
The goal is to reduce waste, reuse useful items, and help neighbours in the community.
How does it work?
Residents can put out gently used items they no longer need. Anyone can pick up items that are available, free of charge.
Keep items out of landfills: Reusing household goods helps reduce waste and supports the environment.
Help the community: It gives useful items a second life and makes them available to people who need them.

Cram-a-Cruiser Event a Success! 🚔❤️

On Saturday, October 10, we held our first-ever Cram-a-Cruiser Event in partnership with the Central Hastings OPP. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we collected a cruiser full of non-perishable food items and monetary donations to support the Stirling & Area Christian Community Care- Community Cupboard!

We would also like to thank Stirling Foodland for allowing us to host the event at their store, and extend a special thank you to the Stirling Agricultural Society for their generous donation of $500.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first Cram-a-Cruiser Event such a success! Together, we are making a difference in Stirling-Rawdon. ❤️

Becky O'Hara, Municipal Clerk and Returning Officer, has officially issued the statutory Notice of Election Information under Section 40 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (MEA).

The notice details everything electors in the Township of Stirling-Rawdon need to know about voting in the 2026 municipal and school board election, including candidate offices, voting methods, dates, voter qualifications, and accessibility.
Electors in the Township of Stirling-Rawdon have two ways to cast their ballot:
Online (Internet) & Telephone Voting

Voting in the Township of Stirling-Rawdon Municipal Election will take place commencing on Friday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. through to Monday, October 26th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. Eligible electors can vote online (internet) or by telephone anytime during the voting period.
Advance Voting
Vote from anywhere, from any device, at any time:
Opens: Friday, October 16th, 2026 @ 10:00 a.m.
Closes: Monday, October 26th, 2026 @ 8:00 p.m.

Online (internet) and telephone runs continuously, 24 hours a day 7 days a week throughout the voting period.

The next municipal election will be held on Monday, October 26th, 2026.

The Township of Stirling-Rawdon has joined forces with the Central Hastings OPP for our first Cram-A-Cruiser food drive in support of the Stirling Food Bank. Together, we are encouraging residents to help fill a police cruiser with non-perishable food items and donations to support local families in need.
