Happy National Seniors Day! Today, we officially launched Active Days, a recreational program designed for adults 55+ with a variety of interests and ability levels.

Active Days offers activities that support physical, cognitive, emotional and social well-being.

“We really want there to be something for everyone. Our programs are designed around different interests, abilities and accessibility needs.”
— Julia Kitchen, Senior Recreation Program Coordinator

But Active Days is about more than staying active. It is also about connection, community and creating opportunities to meet new people and try something new.

National Seniors Day is a time to recognize the many contributions older adults make to our families, communities and society. We are excited to celebrate by creating more opportunities for older adults to stay connected, engaged and active right here in Strathroy-Caradoc.

Today, we honour those affected by recognizing the lasting impacts of the Residential School system, learning from this history, and committing to meaningful action that addresses past and ongoing injustices.
