💙 Small Business Week | Our Chesapeake Story 💙
The Chesapeake Suites concept began in 2005 with a simple but powerful vision.
After witnessing many seniors struggle with traditional apartment living, Bill & Kathy McInnis saw an opportunity to do things differently - to create secure, fully serviced, accessible active-living suites where seniors could truly feel at home.
From the beginning, community was at the heart of their vision. Large common spaces were thoughtfully designed to encourage connection, shared experiences, and a supportive sense of belonging.
Today, that vision has grown into the Chesapeake Family, proudly including 6 locations, 7 buildings, and more to come. What started as an idea has become a community built on care, respect, and connection.
