Thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch of our monthly Business Mixer series!

It was wonderful to see professionals from across Downtown Surrey and beyond come together to meet, connect and build new relationships.

We would also like to thank Stong’s Market for hosting us on the Replenish Café patio and providing such an amazing selection of food throughout the evening.

This week for , we stopped by Oakberry Açaí in Downtown Surrey. From fresh açaí bowls to smoothies and matcha, Oakberry offers plenty of customizable options that make every visit a little different. 🍓🫐

A bittersweet end to the summer...

This summer was not only special due to the incredible series of both community and business events including, but because of the people who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

For the last four months we have had the privilege of working with our eight summer interns Antony, Asheton, Wyatt, McKenna, Dani, Harneet, Izzy, and Kaavya. Every single day this group came into the office with energetic, positive attitudes and a genuine commitment to Downtown Surrey. We are sad to see them go but we wish them the absolute best in all of their future endeavours - we have no doubt that they will go on to do amazing things.

We'd like to extend a special thank you to the co-op programs at SFU and the University of Ottawa for creating opportunities for organizations like ours to work with such incredible students.

Two nights, two movies, and one incredible summer tradition in Downtown Surrey. 🎬✨

This year’s Movies Under the Stars brought the community together at Holland Park for two evenings of live entertainment, local food, and movies on the big screen.

On Night One, we kicked things off with Paddington in Peru, along with performances from Mayfly, Asheton, Sun Hang Do, and Drew Storey. Attendees also enjoyed food and treats from local vendors, free water from Stong’s Market, and complimentary popcorn thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, PCI Developments.

For Night Two, Holland Park filled up once again for Zootopia 2. Before the movie, Jiya Notta, Kiara Dokaj, and Sweet Pan Entertainment took the stage, showcasing some of the incredible talent found right here in our community.

The Original Griddle kept moviegoers fed with smash burgers, chicken, and veggie options, while Ceewell returned with refreshing iced teas and açaí bowls.

We were also excited to have PCI Developments on site sharing more about the upcoming phases of King George Hub.

Thank you to everyone who joined us under the stars and helped make both evenings such a memorable way to celebrate summer in Downtown Surrey.

After a busy summer in Downtown Surrey, our interns had the opportunity to share the projects and experiences that shaped their season.

Our 2026 summer interns took the stage the Surrey City Hall Atrium to share everything they’ve been working on over the past few months — from connecting with Downtown Surrey businesses and supporting community engagement to planning events, creating marketing materials, developing social media content, and helping bring our summer activations to life.

We were honoured to welcome Mayor Brenda Locke, who shared a few words with our interns, along with Kamal Marsi, Associate Dean at SFU Beedie School of Business. We also heard remarks on behalf of the Honourable Randeep Sarai, Member of Parliament.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the interns’ hard work, creativity, and the meaningful contributions they’ve made throughout Downtown Surrey this summer.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in recognizing this talented group as they wrap up their internship journey and head into their next chapter!
