Protecting BC Together heads north.

Northern British Columbia's vast geography presents unique policing challenges—but organized crime doesn't stop because communities are remote.

CFSEU-BC's North District works alongside RCMP detachments and policing partners throughout British Columbia and Alberta to investigate organized crime that moves across regional and provincial boundaries.

Using intelligence-led policing and coordinated investigations, the team targets criminal networks operating throughout northern BC.

And now, we're expanding that effort.

CFSEU-BC is launching the North District Uniform Gang Enforcement Team, strengthening our ability to target organized crime and support community safety across northern British Columbia.

Because organized crime doesn't stop at provincial borders—and neither do we.

UGET supports wildfire response while disrupting criminal activity in the South Okanagan.

From August 5 to 9, Uniform Gang Enforcement Team officers worked alongside Penticton RCMP to support public safety during the Peach Festival.

When a rapidly escalating wildfire threatened Summerland and surrounding communities, UGET officers shifted their focus to the emergency response. They assisted with tactical evacuations—including helping elderly residents leave an independent living facility—and maintained a visible police presence throughout the deployment.

Working with Penticton RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit, officers also seized:

• approximately 2.5 kilograms of illicit drugs, including fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and cocaine• four fi****ms• 16 weapons• approximately $100,000 in cash• one vehicle

These efforts demonstrate UGET’s ability to respond to urgent public-safety needs while continuing to support local policing priorities.

Protecting BC Together takes us to British Columbia's Interior.

The Interior's highway network connects communities across the province—but it can also be exploited by organized crime to move drugs, fi****ms, illicit proceeds, and other contraband.

Based in Kelowna, CFSEU-BC's Interior District works alongside police agencies throughout the region to identify the organized crime groups causing the greatest harm to local communities.

Using intelligence, investigative expertise, and strong partnerships, the team targets high-risk offenders and disrupts organized criminal networks operating throughout the Interior.

⚾ What an unforgettable day at Nat Bailey Stadium!

We were proud to celebrate 75 years of policing in British Columbia alongside Nat Bailey Stadium’s 75th anniversary as the Vancouver Canadians took on the Tri-City Dust Devils.

The event featured displays from BC RCMP units and several memorable ceremonial moments. Members of the Gang Intervention and Exiting team connected with attendees, shared End Gang Life resources, and raised awareness about gang recruitment and prevention.

UGET Deployment to Merritt – Running Away with a Shotgun? “Not So Fast.”

CFSEU-BC’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) was deployed to Merritt this past weekend to assist local police in response to increased violence in the community.

During one of several strategic traffic stops, officers became involved in a foot pursuit. The suspect was arrested shortly after abandoning a loaded shotgun.

The individual was held in custody pending fi****ms-related charges.

This seizure highlights the continued efforts of UGET officers to proactively disrupt gang-related violence and remove dangerous fi****ms from our communities.

The Lower Mainland is home to millions of people, major transportation corridors, ports, and border crossings. These same features also make it a key area for organized crime.

That's why CFSEU-BC has specialized teams dedicated to intelligence gathering, proactive enforcement, illegal fi****ms investigations, outlaw motorcycle gangs, illegal gaming, gang intervention and exiting, and more.

Working together, these teams investigate complex organized crime networks and help keep our communities safe.

You'll also meet the team you're most likely to see in your community—our Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET)—whose officers conduct proactive, intelligence-led enforcement throughout the Lower Mainland and across British Columbia.

We'll Be Watching You.

Outstanding warrants don’t stop at provincial borders.

During proactive enforcement in Vancouver on July 24, CFSEU-BC’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) arrested two individuals wanted on multiple outstanding out-of-province warrants.

One individual was wanted on five out-of-province warrants and was in possession of illicit drugs. Every interaction our officers have with public is to keep our community safe.

Both arrests were the result of proactive policing and demonstrate how strategic enforcement helps locate wanted individuals and disrupt criminal activity across jurisdiction.
