Last Saturday you gave me the job of getting things built in this city. This Saturday you decide who Surrey works with in Victoria, and that choice matters just as much.

Six weeks ago I asked both party leaders the same two questions. Will you build a new Surrey hospital? Will you build SkyTrain to Newton?

One leader came to Surrey and answered them. Not with a meeting. With a commitment. Lorne Doerkson and the Conservative Party of BC have committed to build a new Surrey hospital, and to fund and build SkyTrain down King George Boulevard to Newton.

I have worked with governments of every stripe to deliver SkyTrain to Fleetwood, Clayton Heights and Cloverdale, and I know what a yes looks like. That is a yes.

Surrey is the fastest-growing city in British Columbia, and it has waited long enough. The day the new council is sworn in, we will move forward with delivering on our promises to you. What Surrey needs is a government in Victoria that has already said yes.

That is why I am endorsing Lorne Doerkson and the Conservative Party of BC, and asking you to vote for the Conservative candidate in your Surrey riding on Saturday, October 24. Every Surrey seat helps deliver the Conservative majority that turns these commitments into a hospital and a SkyTrain line. I know Lorne will keep his word and deliver on Surrey's priorities.

Lorne will get it done.
