Recognizing our sponsors and community partners is one of the most important parts of our annual Charity Golf Tournament.

While the golfers may be on the course for one day, the impact of this event is made possible by the businesses, organizations, foundations, and individuals who step up year after year to support the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society and the work we do throughout our community.

From our Presenting Sponsor, The Singh Foundation, to our major sponsors, hole sponsors, prize donors, and community partners, each contribution plays a role in helping this event continue to grow and succeed.

As we prepare for the 15th Annual SFFCS Charity Golf Tournament on June 16, we want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the more than 60 sponsors who have chosen to invest in our community through this event. Your support helps strengthen local healthcare initiatives and allows us to continue making a meaningful difference for those who need it most.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to recognize and support the businesses and organizations that support our community.

Thank you for standing with us.

Community Focused, Community Driven.

As reported and captured by 1stDueMedia:

Saturday evening at approximately 9:45 p.m., Surrey Fire Service crews responded to a structure fire in the 14400 block of 60 Avenue.

First-arriving crews encountered a three-storey townhouse fully engulfed in fire. Due to the volume of fire and potential for extension within the complex, a second alarm was struck, bringing approximately 25 firefighters to the scene.

Despite the intensity of the fire on arrival, crews made an aggressive attack and were able to contain the majority of the fire to the original unit. Several adjacent units sustained heat and smoke damage, including melted siding and visible exterior damage.

Bystanders reported that all occupants were able to safely evacuate prior to firefighters arriving.

Based on the conditions encountered, the actions of responding crews undoubtedly prevented significant fire spread, further property loss, and potential impacts to life safety within the surrounding units.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Day 1 of the FireFit Championships is in the books, and the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Association was proud to have several off-duty members competing in Delta today.

Recognized as one of the toughest firefighter fitness competitions in the world, FireFit challenges competitors through a series of demanding, firefighting-related events that test strength, endurance, skill, and determination.

We’re proud to see our members representing Surrey, pushing themselves beyond the firehall, and demonstrating the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork that define our Association.

A big thank you to the volunteers, organizers, and supporters who help make this incredible event possible.

Good luck to all competitors as they return tomorrow for Day 2 of the FireFit Championships.

A heartfelt thank you to the for their continued support of BC Wheelchair Basketball Society! We are so grateful to have welcomed the Surrey Fire Fighters to Hoopfest, where they got hands-on with wheelchair basketball and showed up for our community!

Their generous $2,500 donation goes directly toward BCWBS programming, helping us grow the game from grassroots to high performance and ensuring that athletes of all ages and abilities across BC have access to the sport they love. This kind of sustained, community-minded support makes a real and lasting difference, and we are so thankful to have partners who keep showing up for us year after year. 🙏🏀

The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society was proud to support our colleagues in Richmond as a Silver Sponsor of their Charity Golf Tournament.

We greatly value the strong relationship between our organizations and appreciate the mutual support that exists between our members. Events like these are a great reminder of the impact firefighters can have when we come together in support of our communities.

The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society was proud to be back on site at the Ronald McDonald House Family Room at Surrey Memorial Hospital—this time presenting a $10,000 donation in support of the families who rely on this incredible space during some of life’s most difficult moments.

The Surrey Family Room provides comfort, care, meals, and a place for families to regroup while remaining close to their children receiving medical treatment at Surrey Memorial Hospital. It is a truly important resource for families throughout our community and region.

Recently, following a tour of the Family Room, several of our new recruits were so impacted by what they saw that they chose to return off duty to cook and bake for families utilizing the space. Moments like that are a strong reminder of why the SFFCS was established back in 1994 — to support our community both on and off duty.

We are proud to continue supporting Ronald McDonald House BC and the Surrey Family Room and look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come.

The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society is proud to support Mukti Society with a $5,000 donation toward their Nourish & Grow Youth Food & Mental Wellness Program.

This important Surrey-based initiative provides vulnerable youth ages 15–29 with nutritious meals, peer connection, mental wellness supports, life-skills workshops, counselling access, and a safe, welcoming space to build resilience and hope.

At the SFFCS, we believe in the power of prevention, early intervention, and community support. Programs like Nourish & Grow help address food insecurity and mental health challenges before they escalate into crisis — creating stronger outcomes for youth in our community.

We are honoured to stand alongside Mukti Society as they continue delivering compassionate, trauma-informed, peer-led support to those who need it most.

Together, we can help nourish growth, connection, and recovery in Surrey.
