A $200,000 Commitment. A Promise Delivered. A Lasting Impact on Our Community.
Back in May, the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society (SFFCS) proudly announced a $200,000 pledge toward the purchase of a new 5-ton refrigerated truck for the Surrey Food Bank, a commitment originally scheduled to be fulfilled over two years.
Thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts and dedication of our active and retired Surrey Fire Fighters, alongside our community volunteers and supporters, we are proud to announce that we have delivered our final $50,000 payment, fulfilling our entire $200,000 commitment ahead of schedule!
Today, we had the opportunity to see the fully decaled truck, which will significantly increase the Surrey Food Bank’s capacity to collect, transport, and distribute food to individuals and families throughout our community.
This partnership represents so much more than a financial contribution. It reflects our shared commitment to addressing food insecurity and making a meaningful, lasting difference in the community we proudly serve.
To our members, volunteers, donors, and community partners, thank you. Your tireless efforts make initiatives like this possible and allow us to continue supporting more than 180 charitable initiatives throughout Surrey each year.
