🚦 What do the new diagonal lines at railway crossings mean?

You may have noticed some new diagonal cross-hatching painted around railway crossings in Sussex. These markings are a visual reminder to keep the crossing area clear and be prepared for trains.

Drivers should never stop on the tracks or within the marked area. Before crossing, make sure there is enough room on the other side for your vehicle to completely clear the tracks.

The new markings help improve visibility, reinforce safe driving habits, and help keep our railway crossings safer for everyone. 🚂

In accordance with Sussex Fire Prevention By-law (By-Law 350-26), no person shall set off fireworks when Category 1 fires are prohibited the NB Forest Fire Watch.
