Earlier this week, two RCMP Members in Melville were seriously injured while courageously responding to a call for service in their community.
They went to work to protect others, as RCMP Members do every day across Saskatchewan, and now they and their families face a long and difficult road to healing.
Policing is one of the hardest jobs. Every shift, RCMP Members put themselves at risk to help keep communities safe. They respond when people need help, they move toward danger, and they carry the weight of that service long after the call is over.
Now, it is our turn to stand behind them.
A fund has been created to support the injured Members and their support teams with expenses related to their recovery, including travel, accommodations, meals, and other costs. All proceeds will be split equally between the injured Members and their support teams.
