Attention parents/caregivers of current RHS students!

SchoolsPlus is hosting the "Level Up to RHS" tomorrow from 10:30am-12pm. A couple of our student volunteers that planned to help lead the Grade 9 tours are no longer available. If your child is a current RHS student (Grade 10-12) and they are interested in helping with the student tours tomorrow they can reach out to me at 902-578-9138 and I can add them to our volunteer list.

ADULT HIGH SCHOOL:
• Open for registration on Tuesday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

RIVERVIEW HIGH SCHOOL:
• School counsellors will be at the school for early registration/questions on August 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

GLACE BAY HIGH SCHOOL:
• The Guidance Office will be open to assist with registration August 26, 27 and 28, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

SYDNEY ACADEMY:
• Open for registration August 25, 26 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

For anybody looking for a family friendly, free and fun activity this evening check this out!

TOMORROW! Glowtopia will be held from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Open Hearth Park Amphitheatre.

Glowtopia is a free, all-ages glow party that will feature special live performances from JonathanKanary and The Dirt Squirrel. There will be lots of fun games and a variety of delicious local food trucks. There will also be free glow sticks and other glow items!

You don’t want to miss out!!

📢New Date and Time for Nature Explorer Day!📢
⏰When: August 18th, 11:30am to 2:00pm → drop in at a time that suits you and go at your own pace!

🌳ACAP and Parks Canada are partnering to provide a fun day of nature-inspired activities on the Riverside Knowledge Path! 💧🐞🐛 Kiddos and grown-ups are invited to walk along the path to participate in various stations where they can learn about local trees and critters, play games, make crafts, and more!
📍Where: Riverside Knowledge Path → Entrance to the left of Riverside School in Mira
⏰When: August 18th, 11:30am to 2:00pm → drop in at a time that suits you and go at your own pace!
This is an outdoor event that will take place rain or shine (except in the case of extreme weather) so please prepare accordingly. 🌧️☀️🦟 Bug and sun protection are recommended!

Registration is open again for our next round of Grief Notes: Virtual Grief Groups for Children & Youth. These 8-week virtual grief groups are for children and youth ages 7-18 in NS, NB, and PEI who have experienced the death of a significant person.

October 2026-May 2027.
