Today, we are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of two dedicated paramedics and the patient they were caring for in Prince Edward Island.

On behalf of everyone at the Marion Bridge Volunteer Fire Department, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, coworkers, and all members of the emergency services community who are grieving this unimaginable loss.

Every day first responders answer the call, putting the safety and well-being of others before their own. Today’s tragedy is a heartbreaking reminder of the risks they face while serving their communities with courage, professionalism, and compassion.

We also remember the patient who lost their life in this tragedy, and we keep their loved ones in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.

Please join us in keeping everyone affected by this devastating incident in your thoughts and prayers, including the emergency responders and healthcare professionals who continue to serve despite the weight of such profound loss.

Rest easy. Your service, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten.

It is with heavy hearts that we recognize the loss of a firefighter who gave their life in the line of duty.

Today we stand with their family, friends, and fellow firefighters as they go through this heartbreaking loss. Their courage, dedication, and willingness to help others will never be forgotten.

On behalf of the members of Marion Bridge Volunteer Fire, I would like to formally recognize three of our firefighters for their professionalism, dedication, and exceptional response during a recent medical emergency.

Working alongside our Emergency Health Services partners and fellow first responders, these members demonstrated the highest standards of service, teamwork, and commitment to public safety. Their calm actions, rapid response, and continued support played an important role in a successful outcome for the patient involved.

We are extremely proud of the professionalism displayed by:

Their actions are a reflection of the values and dedication carried by all members of our department. We also extend our appreciation to the EMS personnel, dispatchers, and everyone involved in the chain of survival during this incident.
