Due to the rain in the forecast, our scheduled Garden Service Night for tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2nd, has been canceled.

We want to keep our volunteers warm and dry, and we also want to avoid muddying up the garden beds while the soil is so wet!

Our next service night is Tuesday, June 9th!

*(Note: Don't forget that our Stuff a Bus Food Drive is still fully moving forward tomorrow at IGA, Co-op, and No Frills from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM! We will have volunteers at all 3 stores, so come say hello and drop off a donation!)

My rain gauge in Dogtown showed 1 1/4" of rain at about 9:30 this morning. By noon, it's almost up to 1 1/2". You guessed it, tomorrow's service night at The Food Bank Vegetable Garden is a wash - all puns intended. We sure welcome the moisture, but it is a smidge too wet to work in. See you next Tuesday 09 June at 6:30 pm.
In the mean time, don't forget to help Stuff-A-Bus tomorrow at IGA, COOP, and No Frills grocery stores in Taber.

It’s National Volunteer Week, and there is no better time to shout out the incredible humans who keep our mission moving!

In 2025, our community showed up in a massive way. Check out these heart-warming numbers:

-172 volunteers dedicated their talent and energy to our daily operations.

-4,332 hours were gifted to our organization. That is the equivalent of almost 6 months of non-stop service!

Countless others pitched in at our special events and got their hands dirty in the Food Bank Vegetable Garden.

Whether you’re weeding the garden, selling 50/50 tickets, or working behind the scenes, please know this: We could not do the work we do without your time, support, and heart.

To the volunteers who quietly make our community a great place to grow: we see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you.
