Nominations will be accepted in person at the Stone Mills Municipal Office - 4504 County Rd 4, Centreville today, Friday, August 21, 2026, until 2 p.m.

This is the last chance for candidates to submit or amend nomination papers for the upcoming municipal election. No appointment is needed. Candidates will be served on a first come, first served basis.

Notice of Public Meeting

Please be advised that the Corporation of the Township of Stone Mills intends to adopt an amendment to Fees and Charges By-law No. 2024-1237, in accordance with subsection 391(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25.

The Fees and Charges By-law is being updated to:

•Add fees related to Cash-In-Lieu of Parkland fees in accordance with By-law2026-1363 Being a By-law to Establish a Process for the Conveyance of Parkland and for Valuating Cash-In-Lieu Payments.

The meeting at which the by-law will be presented will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, in Council Chambers, 4504 County Road 4, Centreville, ON K0K 1N0. The meeting will also be streamed live on the Township Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/ .

Notice is being provided in accordance with Notice By-law No. 2022-1124. If the matter is postponed or considered at a subsequent Council meeting, no additional notice will be provided other than the information on the subsequent Council agenda.

Comments regarding the proposed amendment to the by-law will be received by the Clerk until Monday, September 14th, 2026 at 4:00 PM, by telephone at 613-378-2475 ext. 225, by email [email protected] , or by mail at 4504 County Rd. 4 Centreville ON. K0K 1N0.

GOA Paving has been contracted by the County of Lennox & Addington to resurface the parking lot serving the Canada Post office and Stone Corners in Camden East.

Work Schedule: August 19 to August 21, 2026 (weather permitting)

What to Expect
• Temporary closure of the Canada Post/Stone Corners parking lot to allow for regrading and paving
• Temporary single-lane closures for southbound traffic
• Minor traffic delays may occur
