Our communities, our leadership, our families, our children have a voice through this Bill that came into effect Jan. 1, 2020.
We’ve had info sessions within our community and other communities have had them as well.
Our communities have the opportunity to write their own laws.
The feedback you give will help to begin to write those laws and govern child welfare within your community/Nation.
Prevention is key, and we can do that now, our communities, our families now have that voice through this Bill, your leadership and support people within your community have that voice that will be heard.
Our language and our culture can be strengthened and bring back the teachings of our ancestors for All Nations, all First Nations communities have that right and the time is now.
Toyaxsuut nuusm for the voices of Cindy and Mary for being on the front lines and holding our Canadian Government accountable.
Now, we have to do our part 🧡
Colonialism have taken too many of our people, we need to help protect their children and grandchildren, it is not the alcohol or the drugs, it is the trauma that took them 😢 if you haven’t heard Len Pierre, check out his website, very interesting workshop today ❤️
Our matriarchs, our grandmothers and mothers need to be empowered to help and teach our children and grandchildren to take care of themselves and each other 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Our smoighets, our grandfathers and fathers need to be empowered to help and teach our children and grandchildren the tools needed to provide for their families 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 as well as take care of themselves and each other, hold each other up.
