Harvest is one of the busiest times of year in rural Alberta. Keep it safe out there.

As combines roll and equipment moves across the farm, the risk of contact with overhead power lines increases. A few reminders before you head into the field:

▪️ Know your equipment height and the clearance of every power line on your route before you move.

▪️ Walk your route before moving large or tall equipment. Identify overhead lines and plan around them.

▪️ If equipment contacts a power line, stay in the cab, call 911, and call NPP. Do not exit the vehicle until the line has been confirmed de-energized by a qualified professional.

St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church, known locally as Egremont Church, has stood near the Hamlet of Egremont since 1939, built on the exact site where the Ingleside School once served the community until 1930.

What is inside is just as remarkable as the story behind it. Renowned iconographer Peter Lipinski (1888 to 1975) painted the icons in the Iconostasis and two additional works on the walls. Local craftsman Matthew Dmytryk contributed hand carved wood pieces, religious artifacts, furnishings, and the original tabernacle, all made by hand right here in the community.

Together, their work makes this small church one of the finest examples of traditional Byzantine architecture in the county, and a place well worth visiting.

Designated a Registered Historical Resource in 1998 and a Municipal Historical Resource in 2009, it is still standing and still cared for today.

Dog 1 - Yogi
My name is YOGI, and I like to silently judge people from afar and dig holes in the grass in my backyard. Scratch that, I love to dig anywhere I feel like it. Whether I'm supervising everyone from a distance with my best "I'm not impressed" look or redesigning the landscaping one hole at a time, I always keep life interesting.

Dog 2 - Diesel
Hello, my name is Diesel. I love people, treats, and going to work with my pawrent! I'm a sweet, quiet boy who never misses the chance to say hello to anyone who gives me a little attention. Whether I'm making new friends or patiently waiting for a treat, I'm always happy to brighten someone's day.
