The Blue Mountains Public Library The Blue Mountains Public GLAM
Gallery | Library | Archive | Museum
Offering year-round programs, author talks, workshops and art & culture exhibitions

The BMPL is comprised of a Gallery, Library, Archive and Museum. At the time of the establishment of BMPL in 1995 and the opening of L.E. Shore in 1996, the organization was an early trail blazer of the GLAM by including a gallery within the building. In 2016 the Board and TBM further established the organization as a GLAM when the Craigleith Heritage Depot community museum became a part of the BMPL.

Join us for a fun and welcoming introduction to Spanish. Perfect for beginners, this interactive class will explore basic words, greetings, numbers, and simple everyday conversation through games and guided activities. No experience needed — just come ready to learn, practice, and have fun!

The class is led by Patty, originally from Lima, Peru, who teaches Spanish in the community. Patty brings a natural and practical approach to language learning. She creates relaxed, conversation-based sessions where participants feel comfortable trying Spanish from day one.

For Teens and Adults. Registration required.

Join us and Nova on Wednesday June 10th at 3:30 until 5 to chat about what it means to be a good neighbour!

I took some time with Nova this week to ask her a handful of questions about her work and what it means to her to facilitate a community conversation like this.
Having strolled through the library together, I can’t wait for the conversation on the 10th and I can already tell this is going to be a great program 💙

No need to register, drop-in!
More from my chat with Nova to come 🫶 so keep your eyes peeled!
