Two years after the announcement of this landmark investment, the scale of progress underway in the City of Port Colborne is remarkable.

This project is helping position Niagara Region as a leader in advanced manufacturing and the growing North American electric vehicle supply chain, bringing significant economic impact, skilled jobs and long term opportunity to our communities.

Thank you to Asahi Kasei for your continued investment, partnership and confidence in . The momentum behind this project is exciting to see.

Two years ago, Asahi Kasei announced its investment in a manufacturing facility for lithium-ion battery separators in Port Colborne, Canada. Since then, the project has continued to make steady progress, with construction now well underway.

This month, approximately 1,000 skilled workers are contributing on-site each day, transforming plans into tangible progress. Amid this momentum, we had the pleasure of hosting the Niagara Region Central Leadership Team for a tour of the construction site and an overview of the project.

It was a meaningful opportunity to share our progress and the technology, vision, and long-term commitment behind this investment, all in close partnership with the local community. Together, we remain committed to Creating for Tomorrow.
