We have determined that our water system is operating normal. Water restriction is hereby lifted as of 0730 this morning June 23, 2026.

We thank you all for restricting your use during the high water flow. We can tell by our pump flows and diagnostics when you all start to reduce your usage.

If rains start up again and things become serous again we will restrict water use. For now enjoy a nice shower or bath!

Much thanks,

CAO - Donna Tona

Effective immediately as of June 21st at 3:15pm, water usage is now restricted.

1. No showers or baths
2. No washing machine or dishwasher use.

Flush sparingly and use water sparingly. Our storm water from the entire town runs through our lift station, and although we are holding our own, we have to take this precaution.

We will advise when this restriction has been lifted. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Water Saturation Alert

We have had a tremendous amount of rain and we are aware of basements flooding and residential water concerns.

Our team has been up all night manning our lift station and adjusting it for flow all night. We are diverting the overflow to w**d creek and all manual valves are open. It is holding its own considering the heavy rains we have had. As always we notify Alberta Environment when we do this as per regulations and the proper reports have been filed.

The ground saturation is very high. Please make sure your down spouts are away form your houses and that your sump pumps are working. If you have water in your basement please call a plumber to pump it out or you can do it yourself. Water has to be pumped directly to the street not huat to the side of your house. We are diverting water successfully at this time and will provide updates as necessary.

As an addition: please go easy on washing clothes or using big water appliances. This will help the Town maintain water levels. Thank you for your understanding.
