The City of Thunder Bay - Municipal Government, Ontario, Canada participated in the Thunder Bay Moose Hide Campaign Wear it Wednesday Employee Challenge on Wednesday, May 6th!🔶

Across the community, employees are wearing their Moose Hide pins to spark important conversations about ending violence in all its forms.

The Moose Hide pin is a symbol of commitment, accountability, and action. Rooted in Indigenous ceremony and teachings, the campaign calls on men, boys, and all people to stand up against gender-based violence, support healthy relationships, and honour the safety and dignity of women, children, and communities.

Together, we are building momentum for our Thunder Bay Moose Hide Campaign Walk to End Violence on Thursday, May 14. Hope to see you there!

On May 5th we recognize the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People, also known as Red Dress Day.

As a reflection of this deeply felt reality in our community, a Red Dress installation is displayed at City Hall, serving as a powerful visual reminder of those who are missing and those whose lives were taken too soon❤️🌹

We honour the lives of Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people who have been lost to violence and continue to raise awareness of the ongoing and disproportionate impacts of this crisis on Indigenous communities.
