Yesterday we wrapped up our 8 session Maamawi Parenting Program with Parenting Across the Life Cycle and Community Action for Prenatal and Child Health Program! This program combines traditional and cultural teachings with modern parenting practices, blending self-reflection based on traditional knowledge while encompassing a Two-Eyed seeing approach.

We also had the opportunity to take some family photos at our Golf Links location during our celebration of the Maamawi Program 🥰

From last week! This was our first PAL weekly drop-in in our new Golf Links space, and it was wonderful to spend the day creating together.

These lovely ladies joined Lindsey for an afternoon of sewing and sharing as they worked on ribbon skirts, rattle bags, and drum bags. There was plenty of creativity, laughter, and connection as everyone put their skills and talents to work.

It was a great day in our new space, and we're looking forward to many more gatherings filled with learning, culture, and community.

Today we were visited by Taunya Paquette, Assistant Deputy Minister from the Gender Equity Division, Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. We had a great visit with Taunya, giving her a tour of both our Golf Links Road site and our Crisis Home.
