LOCATED: The missing 74-year-old last seen on Saturday, June 13, 2026, around the intersection of Highway 588 and Highway 590 in Thunder Bay has been located safe. Thunder Bay OPP would like to thank everyone who shared the appeal for assistance or provided information. ^pia

RETROUVÉ : La personne disparue âgée de 74 ans, qui avait été vue pour la dernière fois le samedi 13 juin 2026 aux abords du croisement entre l'autoroute 588 et l'autoroute 590 à Thunder Bay, a été retrouvée saine et sauve. A significant increase in overdoses have been reported in our community in the last 24 hours. They are suspected to be linked to two different batches of “down” currently being sold on the street. One batch is described as green, while the other is a pale yellow.

have reduced HWY 17 at Clearwater Bay store to alternating single lane traffic. A serious motor vehicle collision has traffic moving slowly as its directed by officers. Avoid or expect delays. Share for others to be aware. ^PM

🚔 Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Charges
Officers stopped a vehicle after noticing erratic driving. A search under the Cannabis Control Act uncovered a cannabis v**e in the centre console, an open beer can under the passenger seat, and an open bottle of whiskey in the back.

The driver, a G1 licence holder was operating the vehicle without a required accompanying driver and blew above the mandatory zero‑alcohol limit for novice drivers.

As a result, the driver was charged with:
G1 driver no accompanying driver
Novice driver BAC above zero
Alcohol and cannabis readily available
The driver’s licence was also suspended for 7 days.

⚠️ Safety Reminder:
Impaired driving, whether by alcohol, drugs, or both it puts everyone on the road at risk. If you’re a G1 or novice driver, the rules are even stricter for a reason. Always drive sober, stay focused, and keep our roads safe

On June 6, 2026, officers with the Kenora Detachment responded to multiple theft reports in Kenora and Sioux Narrows. This includes a stolen licence plate, Seadoo, and Dodge Ram from 3 different residences in Kenora, and a stolen GMC Sierra in Sioux Narrows.

Officers are seeking to identify the two persons of interest involved in these incidents.

Person of interest #1:
- Male
- Slim build
- Short dark hair
- Black running shoes
- Black baseball hat with yellow 'Y' logo
- Black hoodie/jacket with red zippers
- Grey jogger pants

Person of interest #2:
- Male
- Average build
- Dark grey and white running shoes
- Grey and black baseball hat
- Black and grey FXR sweater with blue hood
- Black pants
- Orange/Red key lanyard

Vehicle of interest #1:
- Dodge Ram 1500
- Black
- 2009-2012 model

Vehicle of interest #2:
- Ford F-150
- Grey
- Black rims
- Ford mudflaps
- Trailer hitch
- 2021-current model

The licence plates on both vehicles are false plates and may appear to be paper.

Il s'agit notamment du vol d'une plaque d'immatriculation, d'un Seadoo et d'un Dodge Ram dans trois résidences différentes à Kenora, ainsi que du vol d'un GMC Sierra à Sioux Narrows.
