Been a while since I posted. Been a while since I caught anything decent. Also been a while since my Quantum baitcast reel/Berkeley rod was stolen from my car, along with a good 1000$ of tackle or more...but...

I picked up a new baitcast reel in St Thomas, a Lews Laser MC5, 8 bearing. Put it on my old Bass Pro Shop Extreme trigger rod from like ten years ago. Im impressed. Smooth casting. No backlashes. Left hand 7.1-1 ratio. Set up with 100lb(!) Test PowerPro Maxcuatro microfilament braided line. The line is the size of 18 pound test monofilament... ;)
