May 5 is Red Dress Day — the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ People. ❤️

Across Canada, red dresses are hung in public spaces and communities to honor those who have been taken, their spirits, and the families who continue to carry their stories. Each dress represents a life that should still be here.

This day is both remembrance and a call to action. Indigenous women make up 16% of female homicide victims in Canada, despite representing only 4.3% of the female population — a stark and unacceptable reality highlighted by Assembly of First Nations and reported by CTV News.

Today, we stand in solidarity.
We remember.
We raise awareness.
We call for justice, safety, and systemic change.
