South Porcupine Food Bank

South Porcupine Food Bank South Porcupine Food Bank is a registered charity that provides food to those in our community. We serve clients every Tuesday from 1-3 p.m.

The South Porcupine Food Bank has been serving area residents for over 30 years. Open two days a week, the food bank provides free groceries to people in need or in crisis. Clients are provided with approximately 5-7 days worth of groceries per month. It is operated by solely by a a volunteer staff of at approximately 35 volunteers who sort, stock the shelves, pack food, and serve the clients each week. and every Saturday from 9-11 a.m.

Once again, the City of Timmins showed what community is all about.

Today’s food drive was a huge success thanks to the incredible generosity of our residents. Your donations will help support local food banks and families in need throughout our community.

From all of us at IAFF Local 535, thank you to everyone who donated, waved us down, shared the message, and supported this important cause. We are proud to serve a city that always steps up for its neighbours.

Last night’s charity game in support of the South Porcupine Food Bank was a huge success. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we collected $1,230 plus food donations.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to watch, donate, and support the South Porcupine Food Bank. We would also like to thank the Cochrane District Paramedics for taking part in the charity game.
