🧡 JOIN US FOR THE 2026 TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION EVENT AND COMMUNITY WALK 🧡

The Town of Tisdale, together with Tisdale Middle & Secondary School, North East School Division, Reconciliation Tisdale, community partners, Métis and First Nations Elders and their families, invites everyone in our community to come together for our 2026 Truth and Reconciliation Event and Community Walk.

📅 Tuesday, September 29, 2026
🕚 11:00 AM
📍 RECplex Auditorium

The gathering will begin in the Auditorium with a welcome, an opening prayer from an Elder, a land acknowledgement and greetings from the Town of Tisdale and NESD, followed by remarks about the meaning and importance of the walk.

🥁 A drum will signal the beginning of our community walk, led by Every Child Matters flag bearers.

Community Walk Route:
RECplex ➡️ Memorial Park ➡️ north on Main Street ➡️ east on 103rd Avenue ➡️ south on the Old Highway ➡️ returning to the RECplex.

We are honoured to welcome Métis and First Nations Elders, Knowledge Keepers and their families as special guests. Following the walk, a lunch will be held for Elders, Reconciliation Tisdale and event partners, generously provided by the Co-op.

Temporary Story Strolls will also be installed in Memorial Park and St. Therese Park as part of this year's activities.

🧡 Everyone is welcome. 🧡

We encourage residents, families, businesses and community organizations to join our students, Elders and community partners as we walk together in the spirit of learning, listening, reflection and reconciliation.

Every Child Matters.

Please help us spread the word and invite your family, friends and neighbours to walk with us on September 29.
