Declarations -

Minor children who come to to study without a parent or legal guardian must be under the custodial care of an adult while they are in Canada. Custodianship is arranged by means of a custodianship declaration, which must be signed and sealed by a notary public.

A travel consent letter can prevent problems at the border by assuring foreign authorities that the child has permission to leave .

Multiple children can be included in one document. The consent of parents or guardians must be given in person, and identification is required. Signatures must be executed in person, in front of a notary or commissioner of oaths. The accompanying parent or guardian or adult does not need to appear.
